Social Worker (CE) Virtual Training

About the Event

This course begins with an online DiSC assessment, providing participants with a detailed personality profile that helps them understand their own personality traits and ways they may be perceived by others. Assessments must be completed at least 24 hours before the virtual workshop session on 12/11/2020. Facilitators from InvolvedDad will review the results of all participant's DiSC assessments as a group (participants are encouraged, but not required to share information about their results).

During the virtual workshop, InvolvedDad facilitators will discuss how various personalities effect professional social work relationships--especially with men and fathers. Facilitators will also review how various personality profiles common to men and fathers may interpret and adapt to common scenarios in a social work setting. Lastly, facilitators will talk through strategies, based on their experience working with families, case workers, and leadership in various human service and criminal justice contexts to provide best practices and strategies for encouraging more productive interactions with fathers and men in general.
