ENDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE STARTS HERE

WELCOME TO SHIELD

Welcome to InvolvedDad's SHIELD Program! We offer a specialized batterer intervention program for men with a history of domestic violence. Our evidence-based curriculum is also designed to promote healthy relationships, teach fathers how to be better parents and co-parents, and end violent behavior. Our program is court-mandated and meets the specific needs of fathers who have a history of domestic violence. Learn more about our program below!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

InvolvedDad's, SHIELD is an open/rolling enrollment comprehensive batterer intervention program that spans 26 weeks and includes weekly 2-hour classes led by two co-facilitators. In addition, participants have access to additional therapeutic groups and services that are led by InvolvedDad's licensed therapist. These additional services are offered to complement the 26-week classes, and include counseling sessions focused on nonviolence, accountability, sexual respect, responsible parenting, and non-threatening behavior. Men who complete the program will receive a completion certificate, and the program's focus is on ending violent behavior and teaching healthy communication and problem-solving. Our experienced facilitators guide men towards the program's objectives with supportive confrontations, education, and insight.
