SHIELD is a 26-week, evidence-based batterer intervention program for men with a history of domestic violence. Court-mandated and referral-based, SHIELD equips participants with essential tools to end violent behavior, develop non-threatening communication, and become healthier parents and partners. We support men in taking accountability while learning healthy ways to manage conflict and engage with their families.

WELCOME TO SHIELD
Welcome to InvolvedDad's SHIELD Program! We offer specialized batterer intervention services for both men and women who have a history of causing harm. Our evidence-based curriculums DAIP from Duluth, MN and the female curriculum, Turning Points are designed to promote healthy relationships, teach participants how to be better individuals, parents, co-parents, and end violent behavior all together. Our program is court-mandated and meets the specific needs of the participants who have a history of domestic violence. Learn more about our program below!
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
InvolvedDad's, SHIELD program is an open/rolling enrollment comprehensive batterer intervention program that spans 26 weeks and includes weekly 2-hour classes led by two co-facilitators. We also offer, 12 week and 52 week sessions for unique situations. In addition, participants have access to additional therapeutic groups and services that are led by InvolvedDad's licensed therapist. These additional services are offered to complement the batterer intervention classes, and include counseling sessions focused on nonviolence, accountability, sexual respect, responsible parenting, and non-threatening behavior.
