A protective parenting and safety track for women with CPS “Failure to Protect” cases—especially survivors—who need tools to keep children safe.
SHIELD Plus was created for women who have experienced domestic violence and want support in preventing harm, safety planning, and protective parenting.
What we do
Hybrid, trauma-informed model combining parenting education and domestic violence education. Focus areas include:
Protective parenting skills
Safety planning and risk awareness
Understanding domestic violence dynamics
Accountability for protective decision-making
Emotional regulation and boundary-setting
Healthy relationship and co-parenting skills
This program is intended for women identified under “Failure to Protect,” often survivors of intimate partner violence, referred into services.
