Father Spotlight: Virgil Perry
(From Virgil’s Wife:) Virgil and I met in high school. I was 16, and he was 17. Twenty nine years, 23 years of marriage, and six children later, he is exactly the type of husband and father I always imagined he would be. In fact, he is even better. He is the literal definition of a Superdad!
To summarize how awesome he is, I’ll share a quick story. This past Father’s Day, one by one, our children shared their favorite things about their dad:
‘He never misses anything. Even if he just worked 50 hours, he’s still there.’
— Nixon, 10 years old
‘He’s funny, has muscles, and gives me hugs and kisses.’
— Niko, 5 years old
‘Dad is always there and always answers.’
— Justin, 22 years old
‘Dad always makes me feel better about things when I’m nervous.’
— Carrington, 13 years old
These were just a few of the things our children shared about their dad. They are so lucky to have him, but he would say it’s the other way around. He believes he is the lucky one because he gets to be their dad.”
