InvolvedDad expands to Lansing with the help of a business in Genesee CountY

FLINT, Mich.— InvolvedDad started off as smaller operation focusing on promoting fatherhood in Flint. The organization received help from the Social Impact Philanthropy & Investment that helped them secure funding and helped expand their operation to other communities.

InvolvedDad was started in 2015 by Shon Hart to help ensure kids have a father figure they can rely on. The organization offers parenting classes, supervised visits, domestic violence classes, and more.

The organization reached out to the Social Impact Philanthropy & Investment for help in structing their non-profit and to learn how to make money for their organization to run.

"We landed our first federal grant and they were a big component of that. They helped us write it, they were in the trenches and we were just one of two organizations in the state of Michigan to receive it." Shon Hart, Executive Director of InvolvedDad, said.

The Social Impact Philanthropy & Investment or better known as SIPI is not a non-profit and organizations pay for their services.

"We were founded to help build operational supports around these organizations and then help them secure additional resources, so that will help create miracles in our community." Steve Wolbert, CEO of Social Impact Philanthropy & Investment, said.

SIPI does offer free workshops to help groups build their branding and learn marketing skills.
